TETRAGONO is a comprehensive shoreline and transportation project located in Eğirdir, Isparta, Turkey. The project seeks to bridge two important historical sites of the city: the castle and the Hızır Bey Mosque, by creating a transportation hub in the form of a modern and functional bus station. The aim is to provide a seamless connection between the lake and the mosque square, without relocating the bus station.

The shoreline treatment is designed to be environmentally sustainable and visually appealing, incorporating green parks and bioswale systems to harvest rainwater and help clean the lake water. The parks also provide recreational opportunities for the local community, such as playgrounds and various pavement styles for walking, jogging, and cycling. Additionally, the project includes the introduction of new building programs, such as an auditorium, restaurants, and a bus station, to enhance the overall experience of the area.

The focal point of TETRAGONO is the bus station, which is designed using locally sourced materials to reflect the cultural heritage of the area and create a sense of place. The bus station will serve as a transportation hub, providing convenient and efficient access to the surrounding area, while also acting as a catalyst for social and economic growth. In addition to its functional design, the bus station also includes a unique and innovative library building. The library is integrated into the station, with bookshelves forming the stairs and walls, creating a visually appealing and functional space for passengers to enjoy. To enhance the library experience, the ceiling structure has been designed in a detailed way to effectively cancel out any outside noise, creating a peaceful and conducive environment for reading and relaxation. This library building serves as a dynamic gathering space for the community. The integration of a library into the transportation hub is a prime example of the project's commitment to promoting social and cultural enrichment, as well as its focus on creating a well-rounded and comprehensive experience for all visitors to the area.

TETRAGONO is a forward-thinking project that seeks to balance the preservation of history and cultural heritage with modern functionality and sustainability. The project aims to create a vibrant, attractive, and sustainable transportation hub that will benefit the local community and visitors alike.
